This place has amazing BBQ and was definitely worth the drive over! It gets super crowded and the parking lot does overflow, but I was still seated quickly and served quickly. The staff is also super friendly and gives good recommendations. If you order one thing, the chopped pork is a must! I think it might be some of the best chopped pork I've tried. I'd definitely return for another great BBQ dinner.

The Smoke Pit never disappoints! We were visiting family in Salisbury and always make sure we visit for some delicious BBQ. Burnt ends are a favorite! fried pickles are a treat, and you can’t go wrong with any of the sides. A few favorites are the collard greens, jambalaya rice, white slaw, has brown casserole, and corn bread

Omg the friendliest staff I have ever encountered. Customer service was beyond my expectations. Food was really good and the watermelon tea was fresh and hot food. Wait time was no more than 5 minutes top and price and quality and quantity was top tier.

My dad lives in Salisbury, I’m visiting from the east coast. I wanted some good food and this place was recommended by some locals. I got a meat combo plate with smoked turkey, BBQ chicken, Mac&cheese, creamed corn, collard greens, and hush puppies! WOW! The flavor, the portions, and the service were top tier! I will be stopping here before my departure home to have food on the plane! Thank you Smoke Pit!

3 Words: Yes, yes, yes. This is BBQ done right and worth traveling for. Definitely one of the best BBQ spots I have ever had the pleasure of eating and will spread the word. If you aren’t big on pork, like me, they have beef ribs, beef burnt tips and plenty of other options. The cornbread is ridiculous! Highly recommended.

Super restaurant for family and friends. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Wonderful artwork and atmosphere. I ordered a kid's meal because the portions were huge. Added burnt ends. So much meat. Very well seasoned but not salty. Super tender and juicy. The ribs on the kid's meal also was very tasty and tender. If at home you would pick your fingers it's so delicious. Macaroni and cheese, Super cheesy. May be a little sweet for some. For me, it was great. I was given sample sausage and pulled pork. Both are delicious. Then I had the banana pudding. Amazingly delicious but not the color we are accustomed to... Very rich. Large portions. I would highly recommend getting the ribs and burnt ends.

They have several locations throughout the area. We originally went to the original in Concord about 7 to 8 years ago. It was very good and unique food then and still good now in Salisbury. It gets busy and everything is usually prepared with a flavored taste in mind. Recommended if passing through and the turkey always sells out late evenings on Sundays.

Best BBQ I've had in a long time (and I was born in Texas). Got the brisket sandwich and Texas Twinkie for an appetizer - awesome! Oh and the jambalaya side was really good too. The staff were super nice and the service was so fast our appetizer came before the waitress left the table. Check it out!
